Nurses Appreciation Month at Serenity

June is Nurses Appreciation Month. We extend our gratitude to the women and men in this wonderful professioin. Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and compassion. During June, Serenity Fitness Club & Spa, a women’s facility, is inviting all female nurses working in hospitals to enjoy a free 30-minute back/neck/shoulder massage in our spa. May Workshop on Meditation

“Meditation — A Pathway to Serenity”

is this month’s topic in Serenity’s continuing series of workshops. Join us Saturday, May 16, at noon for the 1-hour

presentation. Plan to be seated during the workshop, so you might want to bring a folding chair, pillow, or something soft to sit on. We’ll take a look at some of the latest research into the benefits of meditation, review some of the types of meditation, talk about how

to meditate — and then we’ll actually do it. Whether you’re a regular meditator — or are just starting to wonder if it might be for you — we’ll share information, experiences, and questions about this ancient practice, and its application in our modern world. As always, our workshops are open to all women, both members and nonmembers.

Serenity Issues Flu Health Guidelines

The safety and well being of members and staff is always a top priority at Serenity. The advice and counsel of public health experts in helping to reduce the spread of disease should be taken seriously. We also encourage everyone to review and follow the recommendations below for preventing the spread of flu while at Serenity:

  • Please do NOT come to the gym if you have any

    cold or flu symptoms.

  • Use hand sanitizer at the front desk when you enter and leave the gym.
  • Use the cleansing wipes provided to wipe down equipment and mats after you use them.

New Boot Camp Times Added

If you like to work out during weekdays, we’ve added more Boot Camp sessions just for you. Now you can run, jump, and pump Mondays and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., and on Fridays at 9 a.m. BONUS: for a limited time, take advantage of the Friday morning Boot Camp session for FREE!
